Event Description

Logs when a process terminates. It provides the UtcTime, ProcessGuid and ProcessId of the process.

Key Log Fields

  • UtcTime - UTC timestamp of process termination
  • ProcessGuid - Unique process GUID
  • ProcessId - Process ID that terminated
  • Image - Full path to the terminated process executable

Service Stop

Adversaries may stop or disable services on a system to render those services unavailable to legitimate users.
